Founded in 1960, Trans Ash, is a rapidly growing civil land construction & environmental company. Trans Ash, Inc has secured a long-term project at Belews Creek site to perform a large-scale Construction & Ash Excavation/Earthwork project. We are expanding our Quality Department and are seeking to add a Quality Engineer. Additionally, this role is responsible for enforcing the Trans Ash Corporate Quality standards at each site. Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of experience working in quality for large construction projects. Experienced Project Managers with an interest in a role that is dedicated to Quality enforcement are encouraged to apply.Essential Functions:Development and execution of the Site-Specific Quality Plan & Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP’s)Establish and maintain working relationships with Owners, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendorsSolicit proposals and develop contractual relationships with subcontractor QC firmsManage hold pointsReview and understand specifications and other applicable referencesPrepare and administer daily morning quality briefingsParticipate in weekly subcontractor meetingsPerform and document all completed inspectionsEnsure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirementsDevelop a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the contract documents (Drawings, Specs, Quality)Perform and coordinate onsite and/or offsite material testing per the contractManage third-party testing agencies and testing requirementsDestructive/Non-Destructive TestingPerform and document erosion control inspectionsMaintain a daily report of quality-related informationMaintain the equipment calibration trackingMonitoring Subcontractor performance and contract adherenceAudit Document Control for contract compliance (Red Lines, RFI, Submittal, Contract, Addendum)Provide follow-up and enforcement for any inspection or quality deficienciesSupport project closeout activitiesMaintain lessons learned logHave a strong understanding of ash/soils testing (moisture and density)Have a basic understanding of HDPE liner system and testing proceduresJob Requirements and QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in related field with demonstrated competency as determined by the Quality Division Manager OR (3) years of relevant experienceTraining Requirements:Proficient with business software: MS Windows, MS Team, Outlook, Email, Excel, and Word as well as ability to learn Quality Inspection Software through Viewpoint Field ViewOther Information:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work in all types of weather, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.Must be physically able to perform the work in hot and/ or cold weather conditionsMust be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needsMust be able to walk slopes and uneven terrainMust be able to successfully pass a drug test, MVR, and background checkMay require significant time in the field, including walking up or down slopesMust be able to work in a construction environmentMust have a valid driver’s licenseBe at least 18 years of ageEqual Opportunity Employer:Trans Ash is an equal opportunity employer.
