No matter the industry, the goal is the same: keep freight moving smoothly, efficiently, and without surprises.We pride ourselves on being proactive, responsive, and accountable - anticipating issues, communicating clearly, and continuously finding better ways to deliver results.Position OverviewThe Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering data from multiple sources (both internal and external), analyzing the data by searching for relationships in the data, and interpreting data to support executable business strategies and decisions for the company and our clients and all while driving efficiency. This position will work closely with SimPL’s top management and have high-level exposure to client management and decision makers.Besides maintaining and improving regular and on-going reports, processes, data, and models, the Data Analyst will be exposed to a wide range of projects that will require independent judgement while developing solutions that solve significant client issues.Daily ResponsibilitiesClean and validate incoming client and prospect data for consistency and accuracyUpdate and monitor dashboards in Power BI, Salesforce, and Excel for key performance indicatorsRespond to internal requests for quick data pulls, ad hoc analysis, or freight insights.Communicate task progress, blockers, and priorities with relevant stakeholdersTrack and resolve data integrity issues flagged by internal systems or client teamsMaintain awareness of current client pricing, routing guides, and system dataEvaluate the use of AI systems to improve data collection and analysisWeekly ResponsibilitiesAnalyze new prospect freight data and prepare visuals/tables for sales presentationsBuild or update Excel models to support active pricing projects or decision-making scenariosCollaborate with operations and pricing teams to evaluate carrier proposals or rate strategiesMeet with the technology team and stakeholders to discuss ongoing data process improvementsRe-prioritize tasks based on shifting client or organizational needsDocument and standardize recurring data cleaning or analysis processesMonthly ResponsibilitiesConduct deeper analyses of client freight patterns to identify cost reduction or routing opportunitiesDeliver presentations or reports for internal or client strategy reviewsReview and refine dashboards and reporting templates based on stakeholder feedbackAudit current data sources and reporting tools to ensure consistency and accuracy across platformsParticipate in strategic planning sessions to align data efforts with SimPL’s goalsProactively identify and scope out automation or efficiency projects for data workflowsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related analytical or quantitative related fields required2-6 years minimum experience in supply chain analytics and logistics, inventory or procurement analytics or related experienceOne (1) year minimum project management experience.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAdvanced Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skillsKnowledge of Salesforce and PowerBI preferredFamiliar with modelingExcellent detailed organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent data analysis, critical thinking and decision makingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate with all levels of clients and managementTeam player who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and challenging work environmentWe OfferA competitive salary + bonusCareer growth, development, and advancement opportunitiesExcellent benefits including:Medical, Dental and Vision InsurancesLife and Disability InsurancesCompany 401K plan with a company matchPaid Time Off and paid HolidaysApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.SimPL Freight Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment, welcoming and valuing our differences.
