ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all phases of the design process in full life cycle projectsGenerate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a projectTranslate concepts and information into imagesExecute the process of preparing and completing usable construction document detailing solutionsCoordinate the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipmentManage contract administration responsibilitiesAssist with creation and management of project schedulesDevelop & present appropriate technical solutions to stakeholdersAssist with leading project studio team members, leveraging strengths, and providing mentorshipWork proactively to resolve issues that arise between project, design, and technical objectives of the project, in coordination with Project ManagerExecute coordination and integration of architectural and consultant documentsSeek innovation in design solutions in an ongoing spirit of curiosity and increased project performanceDemonstrate understanding of appropriate industry standards and construction practiceApply knowledge of construction methods and timelinesInternal QA/QC coordinationMaintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and productsAttend and conduct presentationsManage client relationsQualificationsThis role is an in-office positionDegree from a CIDA accredited interior design program or NAAB accredited architecture program5+ years of experience in commercial design; workplace experience strongly preferredDisplay strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailingRevit proficiency and technical excellenceThorough understanding of how a drawing set goes togetherAcumen for how things are built and constructability, and the ability to apply that knowledge to support the project design and budgetGeneral understanding of building and accessibility codesExperience coordinating with a variety of consultants and contractorsInterest in sustainable designProfessional registration or registration process in motionEffective organizational and communication skillsAttention to detailFlexible attitudeAbility to collaborate in a diverse project team environmentDemonstrated experience coordinating and leading project teamsAbility to translate design concepts and information into imagesConfident presentation abilityPotential travel opportunitiesEOE/M/F/Disability/VetJ-18808-Ljbffr
