Sales Manager
Position Title: Sales ManagerReports to: General ManagerStatus: HourlyPosition Summary The Sales Manager along with the Credit Manager are the second in charge at the individual branch location. The Sales Manager performs a wide variety of job functions at the direction of the General Manager, assisting and coordinating store activities to ensure safe, professional and profitable operations. The Sales Manager is accountable for meeting company objectives; maintain company quality standards and adhering to company policies.Principal AccountabilitiesAcquire and Maintain CustomersAttend to customer concerns immediatelyCompliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutesDecipher, prepare and review store reportsEnsure adequate availability of merchandise at all timesFill out paperwork for submission to corporate supportFollow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standardsImplement sales and marketing programsMaintain detailed operating recordsMaintain detailed records of financial services transactionManaging inventory and cash assetsMake sure all merchandise is pricedPrepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, assign tasks, enforce company policyReconcile daily transactionsAll other duties deemed necessary for effective by store managementRequirements for Sales Manager: Effective organizational skills Established selling skills Good communications skills Handle multiple priorities simultaneously Learn and become proficient in POS system Maintain professional appearance Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over the phone with the employees and customers Negotiate and resolve conflict Plan, organize, delegate, coordinate and follow up various tasks and assignments Recognize and solve problems Must have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates Education and Experience:Two years' experience with Rent-to-Own, retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales and merchandising General Physical Requirements:Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-300lbs Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required Must be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronicsProlonged driving and standing Must be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
