Winding Machine OperatorDepartment: Pre-AssemblyMid-Central Electric is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Winding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating high-speed coil winding machines used to produce copper wound coils for medium-voltage control power transformers.Pay Range: $41,500 – $45,500 annually Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–FridayJob ResponsibilitiesReview transformer winding and assembly documentation to determine proper wire size, number of turns, and core specificationsSet up winding machines according to production requirementsOperate winding equipment efficiently while maintaining quality standardsManually insert insulation material between winding layers as requiredChange wire and materials as needed during production runsMonitor machine performance and report operational issues to supervisors promptlyAssist in other manufacturing areas during periods of reduced production volumeQualificationsRequiredAbility to operate machinery in a seated position for extended periods of timeStrong attention to detail and ability to follow production instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferredPrevious manufacturing or production experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, pull, and reach throughout the workdayAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as neededFrequent use of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and temperature conditionsWork EnvironmentThis position works in a manufacturing setting and may involve exposure to machinery, noise, temperature changes, and other standard industrial conditions.
