Senior Bookkeeper I

We are seeking a suitable candidate to join our team as an upper-level bookkeeping staff member. This individual will work in our San Angelo Texas based office up to approximately 36 hours per week during off season with possible overtime in busy tax season (particularly January) with semi-flexible hours available to work around family schedules. Responsible for posting banking and credit card transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable & after-the-fact payroll in various versions of QuickBooks software including QuickBooks desktop and online, as well as reconciling banking & credit card accounts, payroll preparation & reporting experience and tying down balance sheet accounts for multiple small business clients.Only candidates with recent QuickBooks experience will be seriously considered for the position. Greater interest to those having experience in the public accounting industry and also having tax bookkeeping experience. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications & also responsible for scanning, electronic filing, telephone answering, and general office administration on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate is typically able to successfully juggle several projects/clients/deadlines concurrently. Although the candidate will work independently, being a team-player and client-focused is highly desired. Salary commensurate with experience.
