Electrical Lab Technician
Position OverviewDelta Electronics (Americas) is seeking a hands-on Electronics Lab Technician to support the development and testing of prototype power supply products. This role is focused on building, assembling, and testing hardware in a lab environment while partnering closely with engineering teams.This is an associate-level position ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, troubleshooting hardware, and supporting product development in a lab setting.Key Responsibilities:Assemble and rework printed circuit boards (PCB), including surface-mount (SMD) and through-hole componentsPerform soldering and de-soldering of electronic componentsSupport setup and execution of lab testing for prototype power supply unitsDebug and troubleshoot circuit boards and hardware issues using lab equipmentOperate test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power suppliesAssist with building and modifying prototype hardware, including transformer and inductor assembliesSupport PCB layout updates and preparation for manufacturing (as needed)Assist with 3D printing and mechanical assembly of prototype componentsDocument test results, observations, and support engineering analysisRequired Qualifications:Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, testing, or lab supportStrong soldering skills (SMD and through-hole components)Experience working with lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply)Ability to read schematics and follow technical instructionsBasic understanding of electrical circuits and componentsPreferred Qualifications:Exposure to power electronics or power supply systemsExperience with PCB layout tools (Altium or similar)Experience with PCB prototyping systemsFamiliarity with 3D printing and mechanical assemblyWhat We're Looking For: Hands-on, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a lab environmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamInterest in supporting engineering teams through hardware developmentWork Authorization: This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
