Receiving Clerk

Position SummaryThe Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, recording and disbursing a variety of materials, tools, and supplies in the warehouse. This position must be sufficiently knowledgeable about products and locations to service requisitions with minimum delay. Hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am-11:00am.ResponsibilitiesReceive material and ensure the accuracy of all packing slips to physical material.Check quality of incoming material and report any issues.Utilize forklift to unload trucks and move material to designated locations; prep and rack extrusionsEnter all receipts into computer system daily.Help keep inventory storage areas clean and accessible.Perform cycle counts as directed by supervisorsPerform data entry using JDEInvestigate transaction errors and work with production floor to maintain inventory accuracyPerform other duties as neededKnowledge & SkillsKnowledge of warehouse and inventory procedures best practicesAble to inspect and verify materials to meet standards/details, and ensure it meets the needs of our customers.Able to become forklift certified through company program.Able to effectively use MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP software programsAble to communicate professionally in writing and verbally with internal and external customersAble to work both independently and cooperatively with othersAble to safely perform the following physical requirements multiple times per shift:Push, pull, and lift 50 pounds properly to prevent injury to yourself and others without damagingmaterial/product.Stand / walk for up to 10 hours daily while performing job requirements.Push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.Climb and descend stairsExperience1 or more years of experience in a warehouse or receiving roleExperience safely operating a lift truck to unload trucksEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredOther RequirementsPhysical- This position operates in a warehouse environment and must be able to safely lift up to 50pounds and work 10-hour shifts.Forklift certification preferredBalco, a CSW Industrials company, does not make employment decisions based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex(including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, political affiliation, disability, age, genetic information, orveteran status.
