Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Entry Level Estimator/Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about construction and project management to develop their skills in estimating, project coordination, and client communication. The ideal candidate will support project teams by preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing blueprints, and assisting with project planning from start to finish. Responsibilities Collaborate with senior estimators and project mangers to prepare detailed project planning using estimating software such as StruMis and Bluebeam. Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to interpret project scope and material requirements. Assist in developing project budgets by estimating material costs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses. Support project management activities including tracking costs, managing project schedules, and updating spreadsheets for cost control. Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to clarify project details and negotiate pricing when necessary. Read and interpret construction drawings to determine quantities and specifications for materials needed on projects. Contribute to the review of contracts and construction management software to ensure projects stay within scope and budget. Qualifications Basic proficiency in Bluebeam, StruMis or similar estimating software. Strong understanding of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and cost estimation. Knowledge of construction industry practices including material cost estimating, cost management, and project budgeting. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Construction site experience or background in construction management is preferred but not required. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
