Summary of Position Functions: Oversees the cafeteria during assigned shift; prepares and oversees the preparation of meals.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Ensures that serving lines are set-up at the proper time for the meal period and food service staff are at their designated area and prepared for the mealAssist in the preparation and service of daily mealsEnsures meals are wholesome and appetizingMonitors the food service line during each meal and conducts temperature checks of each food itemMaintains inventory of food items and request additional food as necessaryAssists in preparing weekly and monthly food service reportsAssists in cleaning and maintaining kitchen and dining areasMaintains daily records of food costs and usage of foodReports unsafe and unsanitary conditions in the kitchen/dining areaEnsures leftover foods are properly covered and storedDirects work of students who are assigned to the serving lineNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
