As campuses open on a consistent schedule, the line between "prepared" and "unprepared" is frequently determined by fundamental operational execution: the correct devices, provisioned and enrolled; the correct SaaS licenses, active and assigned; the correct communications tools, configured and tested.In this position, you will oversee device procurement from Dell, HP, Apple, and Lenovo; operate MDM (mobile device management) and provisioning workflows; manage SaaS accounts and renewals spanning 14+ platforms; and deliver the campus technology onboarding playbook (including Google Voice, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Rooms). You will document effective practices, refine the SOPs, and leverage AI tools to automate recurring tasks.If you seek defined ownership, quantifiable results, and the momentum of an expanding school network, we would like to meet you.What You Will Be DoingManage complete device procurement cycles across Dell, HP, Apple, and Lenovo, monitoring lead times and delivery schedules to ensure campuses receive necessary equipment before launch datesProvision, image, enroll, and manage the lifecycle of student and staff devices via an MDM platform, maintaining precise asset records across all campusesOperate SaaS accounts, permissions, and licenses across 14+ platforms, anticipating utilization thresholds and renewal dates to avoid access interruptionsImplement the new-campus technology onboarding playbook, preparing devices, provisioning systems, and configuring Google Voice, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Rooms prior to day oneDevelop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and launch checklists, refining them with each campus onboarding and automating recurring steps using AI toolsWhat You Won’t Be DoingOperating as a queue-driven helpdesk agent whose performance is evaluated by ticket countsDeveloping long-term IT architecture or engaging in strategic discussions while launch schedules fall behindManaging unplanned purchasing without inventory tracking, vendor management, or documented specificationsRelying on others to document processes (you will ensure launches are repeatable, not reliant on institutional memory)IT Operations Specialist Key ResponsibilitiesThis position ensures that every campus launches and operates on time because devices, SaaS access, and launch technology systems are completely provisioned and operational before day one.Basic RequirementsCurrently located in the United States and authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorshipWilling and able to travel periodically to US campusesExperience operating an MDM (mobile device management) platform such as ManageEngine, Jamf, Intune, Mosyle, or equivalentPractical experience deploying and supporting end-user devices (laptops or tablets), including provisioning/imaging and troubleshootingExperience operating SaaS platforms, including account provisioning, permissions management, and license managementExperience managing hardware procurement and delivery logistics and/or operating asset tracking workflowsEvidence of developing or maintaining operational documentation such as SOPs, runbooks, or playbooksDemonstrated use of AI tools to troubleshoot technical problems or automate repetitive operational workflowsNice-to-have RequirementsExperience supporting a distributed, multi-site environment where inventory, spares, and repairs must be managed across locationsStrong track record of building simple automations that reduce manual provisioning and reporting workExperience configuring or administering communication tools such as Google Voice, Zoom Phone, or Zoom RoomsAbout 2 Hour LearningEducation is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be.
