This pivotal role involves managing and supporting enterprise-level Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of critical database systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, security, and IT, to develop long-term database strategies aligned with organizational goals. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to a growing organization by maintaining and enhancing database infrastructure, supporting technology initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Oracle Certified Administrator certification is required; Oracle Certified Professional certification is preferred.Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.At least 3+ years of experience managing Microsoft SQL Server environments.Strong proficiency with database backup and recovery tools, including RMAN and MSSQL backup solutions.Working knowledge of Linux, KVM, and virtualization technologies.Familiarity with Oracle and Microsoft licensing requirements.Excellent troubleshooting, project management, communication, and documentation skills.ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and upgrade Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance.Monitor database performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize system reliability.Develop, test, and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.Manage database security, including user access controls, compliance, and vulnerability remediation.Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to support new technology initiatives, patch management, and security enhancements.Enforce database policies, procedures, and change control processes to ensure compliance and consistency.Support development and QA environments through database refreshes, testing, and deployment activities.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, serving as a subject matter expert for database-related projects.Partner with IT leadership to develop and implement strategic database plans that support organizational growth and innovation.BenefitsVaco LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our employees.
