Clerk - Deli Worker

Deli ClerkA Deli Clerk's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising the department's deli products.They work with equipment like oven, fryer, microwave, cutting tools, scale and other Deli equipment.Use store signs to promote daily and weekly specials.Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questionsMaintaining high standards for product freshness and sanitationPreparing Special Orders.Selecting and packaging products ordered by customersFilling, maintaining and rotating products and displaysWork includes walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting deli products weighing up to 50 pounds.Duties also include frequent interaction with customers and associatesQualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age.High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.Able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer serviceAble to read, write and perform simple math problemsAble to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problemsPreferred:Food preparation experienceAble to work well with others as a team memberPrevious experienceA passion for serving peopleWill train if needed
