We’re looking to expand our team across the board.York Space Systems is seeking a Supply Chain intern. The Supply Chain Intern will support various departments of the Company through supplier contracting, contract negotiation, supplier management, and Program communication. This position collaborates with the departments of program management, production, inventory, IT, and finance to conduct business and operational support through effective purchasing. This position is an in-office .Responsibilities: The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible special projects, learning the supply chain process, gathering KPIs for various business decisions, and supporting the strategic supply chain growth. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and/or experience with principles and practices of supplier management, lean principles, negotiation of cost and schedule, execution of cross functional teams for program execution, communication to internal and external stakeholders, high level executive communication, and rules and regulations regarding purchased products.Navigate an ERP system after trainingCommunicate effectively and close special projects throughout the summerBuild relationships with key suppliers for addition to supply chain or growth of current capacityWork cross functionally with BD, Proposals, and supply chain to effectively bid a new effortSupply Chain Intern Skills and Qualifications: Well organized, Strong math and analytical skills, Sound logic and deductive reasoning skills, Data entry, Purchasing, Inventory, Time management, and strong project management skills.Requirements/Preferred ExperienceSupply Chain Management education experienceData input abilityAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesProficiency in MS Office applicationsStrong organization and documentation skillsStrong research and analytical skillsEffective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsHow To ApplyInterested candidates are encouraged to apply by clicking the “Apply” link at the top of the page.
