Digital Executive Producer

DIGITAL EXECUTIVE PRODUCERMake your mark in digital media in a competitive news market. Fort Myers Broadcasting Company, a growing family-owned and operated business and CBS affiliate (WINK) in Southwest Florida, has an immediate opening for a Digital Executive Producer.The person in this position will be involved in the day-to-day production of news for digital platforms, including winknews.com, the WINK News app, and our social media platforms. Also, they would work closely with the Digital Director, Digital Producers, and Reporters on daily content and breaking news stories.We are a fast-paced newsroom with news always happening. If you have excellent writing skills and solid news judgment, this job is for you.Responsibilities:Manage team of Digital Content Producers, Graphic and Video editors, and Social Media ManagersWork closely with Co-Executive Producer, Assistant News Director, Digital Director and Managing Editor on daily and future assignmentsContribute to editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situationsReview and approve digital content to ensure accuracy and quality in accordance with station guidelinesLead all aspects of additional assigned special projects from inception to completionAssist in scheduling of assigned direct reportsRegularly critique digital editorial pieces with the staff, both as a team and with individual producersExecute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all platformsWork collaboratively with other managersPerform other essential functions as assignedJob Requirements:At least three years of newsroom leadership experience preferred as an executive producer, assistant news director, or news directorAbility to work flexible shifts, including holidays, mornings, evenings and weekendsExperience successfully leading teams through content transformationExcellent verbal, written, and analytical skillsKnowledge of AP ENPS and content management systems a plusOrganizational skills and the ability to work under constant time-sensitive deadlinesBachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, communications, or related field a plusPhysical Job Requirements:Prolonged sitting and computer use, including typing and viewing screens.Clear verbal and written communication in a fast-paced newsroom environment.Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.Ability to work on-site for assigned shifts, including extended hours as needed.Benefits:Full-time new hires: Eligible to participate in all Company benefit plans, including:Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, and HSA1st of the month after 30 days employmentSubject to plan termsEligibility for company-paid benefits such as life insurance & EAP and employee-paid benefits such as short-term disabilityPTO - Earned on Accrual BasisCompany-Paid Holidays401(k)*Please no phone calls or emails regarding this position#LI-onsite
