Director of FP&A
Salary: $165,000 to $180,000 + BonusWhy This Opportunity Stands Out:• This is a high-impact leadership role created due to organizational growth and a recent expansion of the FP&A function under a new CFO• The role provides direct visibility to the VP & Controller and CFO, with strong executive-level exposure and influence on enterprise strategy• UW Credit Union is in a strong growth phase with ongoing investment in financial systems, analytics, and enterprise planning capabilities• Opportunity to help shape and elevate the FP&A function, including ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and enterprise performance management• Highly collaborative leadership team and culture focused on transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement• Hybrid work environment (3 days on-site in Madison) with strong work/life balance and industry-leading benefits• Significant opportunity to influence decision-making across branches, products, and member profitability analytics• Exposure to modern FP&A tools and ongoing implementation of the Empyrean budgeting platform• Ideal step-up role for a Manager-level or early Director seeking broader enterprise scope and leadership growthKey Responsibilities for the Director of FP&A:• Lead the enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial performance reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level insights• Develop and maintain profitability analysis across branches, products, and member segments• Build and deliver financial modeling, scenario planning, and "what-if" analysis to support strategic initiatives• Partner with Accounting, Treasury, and senior leadership to align financial planning with balance sheet and liquidity strategy• Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting automation, and forecasting accuracy• Lead implementation and optimization of financial planning systems (Empyrean and related analytics tools)• Manage and develop a small FP&A team (2–3 direct reports), building analytical capability and business partnership skills• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and board-level discussionsQualifications for the Director of FP&A:• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Finance, or Accounting• 4+ years of leadership experience managing and developing direct reports• Financial services, banking, or credit union experience strongly preferred (or closely related industries such as insurance or investment services)• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in complex organizations• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required (MBA preferred)• Experience with FP&A systems (Empyrean, Anaplan, Adaptive, Hyperion, or similar) highly preferred• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional leadership• Experience with profitability modeling, scenario analysis, or balance sheet dynamics is a plus#INMAY2026 #LI-CB1
