Title: Global Pathology Quality Control ScientistLocation: Groton-CT (HYBRID)Duration: 9+ monthsPosition Summary:The Global Pathology Quality Control Scientist independently performs quality control (QC) reviews of anatomic and/or clinical pathology data, specimens, and reports for GLP and non-GLP studies.This role supports candidate selection, first-in-human studies, early research, Client safety, and investigative pathology work through accurate and compliant pathology data review.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform regulatory responsibilities in compliance with:Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standardsAnimal welfare regulationsDepartmental policies and proceduresIndependently conduct QC reviews of:Anatomic pathology dataClinical pathology dataSpecimens and reportsEnsure adherence to study reporting timelinesSupport data integrity QC for DSRD publicationsAssist with pathology scheduling activities as neededRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Biology or a related scientific field5–7 years of relevant industry experienceTechnical SkillsKnowledge of one or more relevant disciplines:NecropsyHistologyClinical pathologyAnimal scienceMinimum 5 years of experience working in a GLP-regulated environmentMinimum 5 years of quality control experience in pathology or related scientific operationsReporting & CollaborationReports to the DSRD Pathology QC & Strategic Planning LeadCollaborates with:Pathologists (anatomic and clinical)Laboratory managersPathology scientists and techniciansClinical pathology scientistsGlobal pathology slide scanning teamsWorks cross-functionally with DSRD teams and research units based on project needs
