Intermediate Full Stack Java Developer - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Intermediate Full Stack Java Developer for a Remote position with a Leading Pharmacy Benefit Manager. This is a long-term contract opportunity. This position is 100% remote.Compensation: $62.00 - $64.00 per hour, W2, based on qualificationsPosition Overview:This role is for an Intermediate Full-Stack Java Developer on an Agile team working on a fully cloud-based application in an AI-first, agentic engineering environment. The position requires experience with microservices architecture using Spring Boot and Kafka, deploying code to a cloud environment, and building or supporting high-volume, data-intensive applications. Hands-on AI-first or agentic engineering experience is required.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement new features, including AI-driven solutionsDevelop and support Full-Stack Java applications using Spring Boot and microservicesBuild and support Kafka-based communication between microservicesAnalyze and evaluate proposed application systems to process high volumes of dataDesign, code, test, debug, and document programsCollaborate with business users, systems analysts, technical leads, and project managers to establish specificationsAnalyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and system interfacesDeploy applications and code into cloud environmentsInstall applications into production environments following change control processesDevelop and implement acceptance test plans to ensure product meets customer requirementsParticipate in AI-first and agentic engineering practices as part of the development workflowAssist other team members with technical questions and troubleshootingPrimary Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceProven experience as a Full-Stack Java developer with Spring BootExperience with Kafka for communication between microservicesCloud experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure) with an understanding of how to deploy code to the cloudDatabase experience (Postgres or other platforms) with required SQL skillsExperience building or supporting high-volume, data-intensive applicationsHands-on experience with AI First / agentic engineering, including tools or approaches such as CoPilot, Claude, agents, LLMs, or prompt engineeringExperience working in an Agile environmentDesired Skills:GCP experienceExperience with ReactIf you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
