We invite you to join us if you want to be part of a fast-paced environment that will accelerate your career and support you to do some of the best work of your life alongside a passionate and committed team distributed across the Americas.We're looking for a Forward-deployed Engineer to sit at the intersection of Product Engineering and our Go-To-Market teams, embedded directly with partners and customers to ship integrations fast, acting as the primary technical owner for every integration in your portfolio.You'll own the full integration lifecycle from qualification to handoff, working hands-on with technical and non-technical stakeholders on both sides. You'll write real code, shape the integration framework, and feed patterns back into the platform.In this role, you will:Own the full integration lifecycle for partners and customers who need hands-on delivery support, qualification, scoping, build, and handoffRun Phase 0 qualification assessments — mapping systems, data flows, risk surface, and build approach before committing to timelinesBuild and configure integration connectors, data mappings, and partner adapters using Clara's integration framework and shared librariesCoordinate directly with partner technical teams throughout the build, acting as the primary technical point of contactPartner with Platform/API squads to leverage core primitives (webhooks, auth patterns, event contracts) and flag reuse opportunitiesEnsure every integration meets Clara's standards: idempotency, observability, secrets management, data minimization, and sandbox testingDrive clean handoffs — delivering runbooks, dashboards, on-call assignments, and support playbooks before marking an integration as doneFeed learnings back into the platform: identify patterns that should become shared libraries or configurationWho you areWe're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.Must haves:Experience working directly with external partners or customers in a technical capacity, you're comfortable owning the relationship, not just the codeWorking directly with end customersDesigning the solution from scratch to meet customer needsGreat communication skills4+ years of backend software development experience, with hands-on exposure to API integrations, webhooks, and data mappingDeep fluency in integration patterns: REST, event-driven architectures, OAuth/token management, idempotencyAbility to move fast in ambiguous environments: qualify a new integration request, scope it, and start building within daysStrong proficiency in one or more backend languages (preferably Java) and comfort working across multiple systems and tech stacksWorking knowledge of observability fundamentals: logs, metrics, tracing, alerting, and SLOsYou use AI tools as a force multiplier, from scaffolding connectors to automating repetitive mapping workWorking proficiency in English and Spanish, or English and PortugueseExcellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiencesExposure to integration platforms or connector frameworks (e.g. N8N, Zapier, or custom-built equivalents)Nice to haves:Experience in fintech, payments, or financial data infrastructureFamiliarity with PCI/PII data handling and compliance requirementsExperience with AWS, Kafka, or event streaming platformsProficiency in all three languages (Portuguese, Spanish, and English) is a strong plusA good sense of humorWhy join ClaraAt Clara, you'll have the autonomy, speed, and support to make meaningful impact — not just on your team, but on how organizations are run across Latin America.Who we areWe're the leading B2B fintech for spend management in Latin America.Certified as one of the world's fastest-growing companies, a Great Place to Work, and a LinkedIn Top Startup .Passionate about making Latin America more prosperous and competitive.Constantly innovating to build financial infrastructure that enables each of our customers to thrive.Product-led, high-talent-density culture — designed for builders who raise the bar.Proud of our open, inclusive, and values-driven environment.What we believe in#Clarity.
