Laser Operator
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laser Machine Operator to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal components. This is a full-time, first-shift position that requires a mix of technical machine operation, material handling, and occasional logistics support.
Core Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Set up, load, and operate laser cutting machines according to production schedules and blueprints.
Quality Control: Perform first-piece inspections and periodic checks to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and customer specifications.
Material Handling: Load raw metal sheets onto the machine bed and unload finished parts. Use of a forklift to move heavy pallets is required.
Maintenance: Perform routine daily maintenance (cleaning lenses, checking gas levels, and clearing scrap).
Driving/Logistics: Occasionally operate company vehicles for local pickups or deliveries as needed.
Cross-Functional Support: Assist in other areas of the shop (Press Brake, Band Saw, Punch Press, Plasma Cutter, Metal Shear, Welding).
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
