Shift Manager
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:This position is accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift designated by the General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations. The person in this role may be the only management person on duty for a full or partial shift or may work with the General Manager, Shift Manager, or other Shift Leaders.Our Employees Enjoy:Competitive hourly wagesNo working with fryers, grills or grease trapsNo late night hoursFree meals on days scheduled to work, 50% off all other timesFlexible hoursFriendly, team-oriented environmentExcellent growth opportunitiesRequirements:Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance to all local, state and federal regulations to include health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, OSHA and any other appropriate regulations required for the legal operation of the businessEnsure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs® Policies and ProceduresProvides leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs® “culture” of a cheerful and fun work environment and Firehouse Subs® beliefs and values to adhere to and grow the mission and visionEnsures the profitability of business by operating within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllable, utilities and sales growthAssists the GM in coordinating and implementation of current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely mannerAssists with proper staffing of the restaurant with qualified personnel and employees who are trained and developed properlyProvides continuous training and development of the restaurant staffPromotes all Public Safety Foundation initiativesEnsures all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and accomplished on scheduleMaintains awareness and participation in community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunitiesRepresents Firehouse Subs® in a professional, positive manner at all timesCommunicates effectively to the General Manager any and all issues that may impact the businessAssists in maintaining restaurant equipment in full working order and communicates problems immediately via the Repair and Maintenance Request forms and critical issues should be reported to the General ManagerAble to work on their feet for up to 10 hours at a timeAble to lift up to 50 lbs to chest heightAny other duties assigned by the General Manager, Operations Manager, HR Manager or OwnerSpecific Duties for this position also include:Ensuring Daily Workflow is always up to dateVerifying store cash funds daily reporting any large discrepancies (>20.00) immediately to OfficeMay assist with staff schedulingMay assist with interviews and recommends hires for the storeMay assist in the training of new team members and recently promoted shift leadersMay assists with weekly and monthly inventory at close of business on Sunday nightCompleting “Red Book” Daily and “Green Sheet” WeeklyHandles compliance on COVID-19 health checks, policies and proceduresMay Assist with ordering all product for the storeJob Requirements: Must be available to work in-store 20-40 hours per week with a minimum of 2 nights per week and weekends and must be available to work all days of the week that the store is open for businessMust be able to pass the Shift Leader Written Entrance Exam with at least an 85% gradeMust pass all practical exams including all positions, Prep and Slicing to include being able to write accurate prep and slicing lists and must be able to complete each of those tasks before 10:30amMust hold and maintain a Manager Food Safety Certification prior to being left as the person in charg
