Financial Analyst / Sr. Accountant
Purpose
Responsible for all aspects of the financial processes including finance controls, general ledger and fixed asset Responsible for supporting accurate financial reporting, analysis, and accounting activities at the plant level. This position performs detailed financial analysis, account reconciliations, and operational reporting while ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate procedures. The role is operationally focused and partners closely with the Plant Controller and plant leadership to provide financial insight and decision support, without assuming overall financial ownership or supervisory authority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, including variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations under the direction of the Plant Controller.
Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate variances or unusual activity.
Assist with standard cost updates, cost analysis, and inventory-related financial reporting in coordination with Materials and Operations.
Develop and maintain operational and financial reports to support plant performance metrics.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing analysis, schedules, and supporting documentation.
Analyze labor, overhead, and material costs and provide insight on cost drivers and trends.
Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reporting; prepare supporting documentation (no approval authority).
Support fixed asset accounting activities including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules as assigned.
Assist with intercompany reconciliations and reporting.
Provide audit support and documentation as requested by the Plant Controller.
Maintain compliance with GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and internal controls.
Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with reporting efficiencies.
Escalate discrepancies, control concerns, or unusual transactions to the Plant Controller.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
3–6 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or cost accounting
Manufacturing experience preferred
Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statements
Preferred Education & Experience
Plant or operational finance experience
ERP experience (Plex preferred)
