Assistant Band Director - High School (004-17)
Primary PurposeAssist in directing and managing the overall band program for the campus and district. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), and district requirements. Be active in the planning and instruction of band activities in accordance with campus and district expectations. Be active in the planning and preparation to provide students the opportunity to achieve district, region, state, and national recognition.QualificationsEducation/Certification:Bachelor's degree from accredited universityValid Texas teaching certificateSpecial Knowledge/SkillsKnowledge of overall operation of instrumental music programAbility to manage budget and personnelKnowledge of state, UIL, and TMEA policies governing band activitiesAbility to interpret policy, procedures, and dataStrong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skillsExperienceMinimum one year teaching and band directing experience, preferredSalary: Teacher/ 187 days
