Job DescriptionEngineer Support100 36th St S, Fargo, ND 58103NDFAR Public StorePart-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pmUp to 28 hours/weekOverviewWorking as Part-time Engineer Support, you will be assisting the current engineering team in their communications with and support of our branches and customers. You will participate in lab testing, print reviews, customer standards reviews, development of engineering resources and articles, customer specific projects for cost savings and consolidation and other technical functions.ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Providing technical assistance to branches and customersReviewing customer prints and standardsProviding lab testing support for standard and customer specific testingCreating technical resources, articles and calculators to support our technical teams and customersSupporting projects by finding cost savings and consolidation opportunities for customersRequired Position QualificationsThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as neededPossess or are working towards a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science or a related field of study OR possess previous work experience in the fastener industryExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient using Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitiesExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillsLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWork independently as well as in a team environmentDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkLift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbsPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)About UsSince 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
