Operational Controls SQL Developer (On-site)
Overview
In this role you will leverage SQL and data visualization to improve loan exception detection, controls, and KPI reporting, directly supporting regulatory and investor requirements. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into automated dashboards and trusted data insights, influencing executive decisions and operational performance. This on-site position focuses on data integrity, dashboard delivery, and risk-aware automation within the mortgage servicing domain. ResponsibilitiesIdentify problems and determine viable fixes in collaboration with stakeholdersDevelop high-visibility loan exception reports and controls to ensure regulatory and policy complianceCreate dashboards and reporting in Tableau for leadership, KPIs/OKRs, and exception monitoringSource data from MS SQL Server data warehouse and implement reliable logic for exception detectionAdhere to coding standards, perform inline QC, and optimize stored proceduresCollaborate with servicing teams to understand timelines, rules, and exceptionsExplain insights effectively to diverse audiences including senior managementContribute to on-site duties and on-going ad hoc reportingMaintain shared codebase with source control (TFS) and process documentationHandle high-visibility projects related to regulatory, investor, and internal audit requirementsAssist with cross-training and other duties as assigned by management
Key requirements2–4 years as a data or reporting analyst in a financial setting or related technical certifications2–4 years in T-SQL stored procedure programming and optimization2–4 years in Tableau dashboards & data visualization or Associate Tableau CertificationMortgage industry experience preferredExperience with Tableau, Power Platform, Visual Studio, SharePoint, Python, R, and Visio is a plusProficiency in DQL, DML, and DDL T-SQL commandsStrong Excel reporting and analysis skills (formulas, pivots, lookups, Power Query)Strong communication and collaboration abilitiesDetail-oriented with ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesFast, proactive learner with an interest in upskillingOn-site work requirementstrong communicationcollaborationattention to detailT-SQL stored proceduresTableau dashboardsSQL data warehousing
