Partnership Taxation Manager (Asset Management)

Job Summary:Permanent hybrid position (3 days/week in-office) in Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or San Francisco, CA to focus on partnership tax reviews, consulting, and client service in asset management.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage IRC 704b accounts.Manage client services teams, plan and execute tax projects across industries, and provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance.Market, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies while managing budgets.Develop, train, mentor staff, and assess performance for reviews.Research tax matters, primarily Sub-chapter K partnership taxation, using tax software for returns and research.Respond to IRS and tax authority inquiries.Maintain client communication to manage expectations, meet deadlines, and build relationships.Support business development, including proposals and pursuits.Travel as needed.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting.CPA certification.6-10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience in public accounting or combined industry/public accounting.Experience with partnership structuring.Proficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint venture and non-corporate entity tax returns, and Sub-chapter K partnership taxation.Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills.Exceptional client service and communication skills to develop and maintain client relationships.Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills.Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.From a top 10 accounting firm.Minimal job hopping preferred.Preferred Skills:Experience with entity formation, mergers, and acquisitions.
