Construction Project Manager (Contract Role)Location: Austin, TXAbout the RoleI am seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to assist with renovations, hospitality buildouts, venue improvements, capital projects, and ongoing development initiatives across multiple hospitality and entertainment properties in Austin.Projects include boutique hospitality spaces, bars, live music venues, rooftops, restaurants, pools, and experiential event environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced, creative projects and can balance construction management with design, hospitality, and operational functionality.This is a contract role with flexible structure depending on project workload and timelines.Position OverviewThe Construction Project Manager will oversee planning, coordination, execution, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control for hospitality, entertainment, hotel, bar, restaurant, and event-space construction projects.The ideal candidate understands how to execute high-design hospitality projects while maintaining budgets, timelines, organization, and construction quality.Key ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementOversee construction projects from planning through completionCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, consultants, and city inspectorsManage project schedules, budgets, timelines, and construction sequencingTrack and review bids, proposals, invoices, and change ordersConduct regular site walks and quality control inspectionsEnsure projects remain on schedule and within budgetHospitality & Venue BuildoutsManage renovations and buildouts of hotel suites, bars, rooftops, live music venues, restaurants, backstage areas, pools, and event spacesCoordinate specialty installations including AV, lighting, staging, millwork, signage, and custom hospitality finishesAssist in operational planning for venue functionality and guest flowPermitting & ComplianceCoordinate permitting, inspections, and code complianceWork closely with city officials, consultants, and inspectorsEnsure compliance with ADA, life safety, and hospitality regulationsMaintain project documentation and reportingBudgeting & Cost ControlAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost trackingIdentify opportunities for value engineering and cost savingsReview contractor pay applications and monitor project financialsMinimize unnecessary change orders and project delaysCommunication & CoordinationProvide regular project updatesCoordinate across design, operations, and vendor teamsBuild strong relationships with contractors and vendorsHelp establish scalable construction systems and processesQualifications3–7 years experience in commercial construction project managementExperience with hospitality, restaurant, hotel, nightlife, entertainment, or experiential projects strongly preferredStrong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordinationAbility to read plans, construction documents, and shop drawingsExperience managing multiple active projects simultaneouslyStrong communication and problem-solving skillsComfortable working in fast-paced startup-style environmentsExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, Buildertrend, Smartsheet, or similar platforms preferredCompensationContract RoleCompensation: $7,500/monthFlexible structure depending on workload and project timelinesPotential for long-term opportunities as projects expandWhy This Role is UniqueWork on highly creative hospitality and entertainment projects in AustinOperate at the intersection of hotels, nightlife, live music, bars, and experiential eventsHelp shape unique hospitality environments and guest experiencesJoin a fast-moving, entrepreneurial project environment with significant creative input
