Medical Director Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program Location: Orlando, FloridaEmployment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to serve as Medical Director of a Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program in Orlando, FL. This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape and grow a world-class transplant program within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.This full-time clinical faculty role includes:75% clinical effort, with approximately half dedicated to transplant patients25% protected time for research, program leadership, and academic development Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all aspects of the pediatric kidney transplant program, including clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic growthProvide comprehensive nephrology care, including:Acute kidney injury, hypertension, chronic kidney diseaseDialysis (CKRT, PD, HD), plasmapheresis, and transplantationCollaborate with pediatric surgery, urology, and adult transplant teams to ensure seamless multidisciplinary careMentor and educate pediatric residents, medical students, and PA studentsDrive quality improvement initiatives and participate in research collaborations Division Highlights 4,000+ outpatient visits and 1,500+ inpatient encounters annuallyStrong infrastructure with dedicated laboratory capabilitiesFaculty appointment opportunities with a local College of MedicineMultidisciplinary clinics for Lupus/Vasculitis, Williams Syndrome, and kidney stonesActive participation in national collaboratives (NAPRTCS, NAKI) Qualifications M.D. or D.O. with fellowship training in Pediatric NephrologyBoard certified or board eligible in Pediatric NephrologyEligible for unrestricted Florida medical licenseDemonstrated leadership in transplant care and/or academic medicineCommitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and scholarship What We Offer Competitive base compensationAnnual incentive plan recognizing clinical activity, academic accomplishments, and quality improvementComprehensive benefits: health, life, dental, visionMortgage assistance, relocation packages, and retirement plans (403B with employer match, 457 savings plan)Licensure, CME, and dues allowanceNot-for-profit status: Eligibility for Public Service Loan ForgivenessNo state income tax in Florida Why This Opportunity?
