Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alma, MI, for a Director of Finance/Controller. The key responsibilities include leading financial operations, managing accounting functions, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role requires overseeing payroll processing, generating financial reports, and providing strategic financial insights. Additionally, the Director of Finance/Controller will work closely with campus leadership to support the college's mission and long-term financial sustainability. Qualifications Strong expertise in Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial AnalysisExperience with Accounting Practices, Financial Reporting, Compliance, and Audit ProceduresProficiency in using Financial Management Software and Advanced Excel SkillsLeadership and Team Management abilities, with excellent communication and decision-making skillsStrong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skillsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA designation preferred)Previous experience in higher education finance or non-profit organizations is a plus
