Fort Miller Precast is looking for a Welder/Fabricator who is mechanically inclined, safety conscious, and capable of performing a variety of construction and/or repair tasks on steel forms used in the manufacture of precast concrete products. The duties of our Welder/Fabricator may include Stick and MIG welding, cutting, grinding and general construction related tasks at a various work stations located throughout our manufacturing plant. Perform a variety of construction and/or repair tasks on steel forms. Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools, such as grinders and saws. Ability to operate a cutting torch and read blueprints is preferred. Ability to withstand exposure to extreme temperatures; visual acuity at short and long distances as well as good peripheral vision and depth perception. What we're looking for:Perform heavy physical labor. Safely lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Understand common measurements of length. Access equipment at various levels by reaching or climbing a ladder, bend over, walk, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. Work independently as well as part of a team. Work a flexible schedule, including overtime and Saturdays on occasion. Must be at least 18 years of age.
