2nd Shift - Production Maintenance Electrician

Production Maintenance Electricians Carrier's facility in Indianapolis, Indiana, who manufactures residential and commercial gas furnaces, is recruiting 2nd Shift Production Maintenance Electricians to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. Work onsite in Indianapolis from 5 pm to 3:30 am with overtime expectations. Key ResponsibilitiesComplete electrical repairs on equipment i.e., diagnose faults, make actual repairs, readjustments, or calibrations Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, hand, electrical, or soldering tools Perform preventive maintenance on equipment per instructions and schedules Lay out construction wiring, install and maintain electrical circuits for machine installations, conveyors, elevators, cranes, etc. Troubleshoot and wire electrical circuits Maintain and repair AC/DC motors and control equipment Install conduit, busbar and general wiring Preserve clean and safe work areas Replace unit components i.e., gas valves, control relays, protective relays, fan and blower motors, fuses, EAC compressors, etc. Assist other Maintenance Department employees and perform related or less skilled work Follow site safety rules as seen in the associate handbook, cardinal rule cards, job-specific standard work and EHS training documents Report chemical spills and environmental concerns immediately to supervisor, security, or EHS Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma / GED Current Electrical Journeyman Card or ability to pass the onsite electrical examination 3+ years' experience working from wiring diagrams, schematic drawings and/or piping schematic drawings 1+ years' experience with electrical codes and requirements 1+ years' experience tracing electrical circuits, and testing voltage Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree Effective English verbal and written communication skills Teamwork and collaboration skills Organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy Additional InformationMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.
