Senior AWS Lambda Developer (Python | Java | Kafka | Terraform)

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Lambda Developer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for a software developer with a strong background in Java and current hands-on experience building cloud-native applications using AWS Lambda and Python.The ideal candidate has experience developing scalable serverless APIs, event-driven applications, and microservices in AWS. This is not a DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, or Linux Administration role.Required Qualifications* 8+ years of software development experience.* Strong prior experience developing enterprise applications using Java.* Current hands-on experience developing AWS Lambda applications/APIs using Python.* Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.* Strong understanding of serverless application architecture on AWS.* Experience building event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.* Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).* Experience using AI-powered coding tools such as Amazon Q (preferred), GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.* Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD pipelines.* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred Skills* AWS API Gateway* DynamoDB* SQS/SNS* EventBridge* Step Functions* CloudWatch* Docker* Agile/Scrum development
