Structural Engineer
Engineering Design Services is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to support EDS on a wide variety of maintenance and capital projects that relate to the themed entertainment and aerospace industries. You will also assist in expanding the client network and be responsible for managing specific client relationships. This role will involve producing high-quality engineering documents/reports while ensuring compliance with client requirements, code specifications, and site specifications.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to work multiple cross discipline projects, demonstrate excellent fundamental engineering practices, apply sound project management tactics, communication, and supervision skills. You will need to have high level decision-making skills as well as a good understanding of engineering practices.
Experience:
3+ Years of Experience (Minimum)
Structural Engineering Degree Required
Demonstrates Proficient Skills with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
Proficient with 2D and 3D CAD Programs (Revit Preferred)
Develop 3D Component/Assembly Designs, Models, & Isometric Drawings
Excellent Communication Skills
Project Management Skills (Desired)
Experience in Commercial Space or Themed Entertainment Industries
Legal Authorization to Work in the United States with Need for Sponsorship Now or In the Future
Typical Responsibilities:
Own Comprehensive Structural Analysis and Design for a Range of Projects, Ensuring Compliance with Industry Standards and Building Codes
Evaluate Existing Structures for Repair Needs and Provide Repair Design & Construction Documents
Prepare and Review Design Calculations, Models, and Construction Documents
Prepare and Present Technical Reports to Internal Teams and Clients
Engineering and Analysis of Structural Supports and Foundations
Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams to Integrate Structural Elements Seamlessly into Overall Project Plans
Component Level Stress Analysis
Develop Complex 2D/3D Models
Visit Sites to Perform Structural Assessments - Routine or Emergency
Coordinate Structural Design with Other Project Trades
