Host/Food Runner (Full Time)
Dear Charles is currently seeking a Host/Food Runner to provide genuine hospitality and the highest quality of service to our guests. We have opportunities for energetic, service-oriented individuals who are experienced in providing efficient service and memorable experiences.ResponsibilitiesProvides the highest and most efficient level of hospitality and customer service expected by our guestsGreets and seats guests upon entering the restaurantRecords and confirms reservations through ToastTable or through call-in requestsMonitors guest waiting listAnswer telephones to service internal and external guestsHandles room service and to go orders via telephoneHandles cash, credit cards, and guest room charges. Assists with serving guests by bringing out meal orders if servers are busyHelps monitor and observe guest’s dining experience to ensure guest are satisfied with the food and service and respond promptly and courteously to correct any problemsMaintains a level of knowledge of all menu items and beverage programsIs a team player and assists others when and where necessary to ensure a seamless guest experienceCompletes the setup and breakdown of sections, including detailed cleaning of the work area and surrounding areasWorks with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on timeMaintains a safe and clean work environmentReports any damages, shortcomings, and disturbances to managers or supervisors. Ensures the restaurant operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulationsHas the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysHas the availability to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Restaurant General ManagerAny other duties assigned by Supervisor or ManagerFundamentalsAbility to maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all timesEducation: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Experience: 2+ years of experience in a formal dining or upscale casual environmentFlexibility to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysExcellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in English required.
