Server Administrator I
Job Description Job Summary Reporting to the IAA Manager, the Server Administrator I is responsible for coordinating and installing new site installations and upgrades, building servers and installing hardware and software for gaming environments and server administration. The IAA Server Administrator I should also have a solid understanding of hardware, software, network configuration and experienced at interacting with people at a variety of levels ResponsibilitiesInstall and administer Windows 2003/2008/2016 serversPerform some MS SQL administration tasks and scriptingPerform data/database backups and recoveriesInstall network and server equipment in equipment racks for deploymentReview scheduled tasks and turnaround datesFollow documented processes and procedures thoroughly for all projectsProvide courteous customer service, oral and written, during projectsInstall and upgrade AGS servers, games, and any other software products as necessaryPerform routine system checks of performance and space requirements on servers before or during projectsIs available nights and weekends as needed for shifts/upgrades/implementations/new deployments as necessary for businessTesting products before being released, as necessaryCapable of sharing knowledge with employees and customersAble to travel (5-10%) for new site installs Skills and RequirementsBachelor of Science Degree in computer science, or 2 years work experience requiredWindows 2003/2008 ServersStrong MS SQL / DB ExperienceStrong experience with Active Directory, user management, and GPOsMCP certification beneficialStrong customer support experienceOrganized, and able to communicate wellBatch Scripting knowledge with DOS, Python, or Perl are beneficialCisco Router experience preferredExperience with networking a plusOther pertinent certifications a plusGaming License Eligibility: You must be able to pass a background check for up to prior 20 years for arrests, convictions, sealed or expunged records Note: All offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen *Posted positions are not open to third party recruiters and unsolicited resume submissions will be considered free referrals.
