As a member of the Starlink Supply Chain Planning team you will support an elite group of engineers and supply chain professionals to establish and maintain the signals that drive the business and enable growth of the Starlink Aviation sector of SpaceX. Our team moves quickly and you must too.This position requires the ability to work with strategy, buyers, engineering, finance, and legal teams, as well as third-parties such as partners and suppliers. The role demands strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.ResponsibilitiesMaintain accuracy and audit bill of materials (BOM) in material requirements planning (MRP) systems in preparation for satellite and subassembly rate productionEstablish and manage inventory level targets, review line of balances, align demand supply signals and allocations, maintain product master data, and develop expertise in SpaceX software, systems, and reporting toolsIdentify and mitigate risk to ensure continuity of supply chain by constructing and executing a supply plan that meets quality standards and production deadlinesDevelop an expertise in MRP and triage the signals and understand the matrix to apply your knowledge and educate the teams we support in the proper use of MRP and its benefit to the businessCoordinate with engineering, production, and quality organizations to determine change cut in and reduce obsolescence of material and eliminate/reduce quality issuesPartner with internal stakeholders on implementing advanced supply chain strategies for risk mitigations, such as long-term purchases and strategic safety stockProactively manage inventory and prevent stock outs while optimizing the utilization of SpaceX working capitalDevelop and maintain strong professional relationships with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to achieve mission successEnsure compliance with all company policies and procedures, government regulations, and lawsProactively update SpaceX leadership and engineering teams on all critical supply issuesAnalyze supply chain data and report on MRP health metrics and their relation to business goalsBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience working in one or more of the following, or 3+ years of experience working in one or more of the following in lieu of a degree:EngineeringPurchasingContract negotiationMaterial or production planningOperations or supply chain managementMaterial cost controlMaster production schedulingPreferred Skills And ExperienceTechnical knowledge in a commodity – for example, machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending and assembly, weldment assembly, or soft goodsProven success working on cross-functional new product introduction projects, cost modeling, and negotiationFamiliarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functionsSQL experiencePowerBI experienceAdvanced skills with Microsoft Office suite: Excel/Project and the ability to create pivot tables or macros, and analyze dataExperience navigating multitier bill of materials (BOM) and work ordersAPICS certificationLean Six Sigma certificationExceptional written, verbal, and presentation skillsDetail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environmentUnderstanding of block-chain powered supply chain platforms to boost efficiency, traceability, and transparencyAdditional RequirementsMust be able to travel - Up to 10% of work week travel may be required, including internationalMust be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as neededThis position is based in Woodinville, WA and requires being onsite, remote work not consideredPay RangeCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Supply Chain Planner/Level I: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00/per yearSupply Chain Planner/Level II: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00/per yearYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
