Job Description Asama Coldwater ManufacturingMaintenance Technician – CNC/PLC/RoboticsDepartment: MachiningJob Type: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports To: Machining EQS LeaderTravel: 0–5%Position SummaryAs a Maintenance Technician, you will support the performance, reliability, and repair of machining equipment and production systems. This role works across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, robotics, and PLC systems to troubleshoot issues, complete preventive maintenance, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and repair CNC machines, robotics, and other production equipmentPerform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifeInspect, test, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issuesRepair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipmentRead and work from blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogsInstall, align, level, and support startup of new equipmentAssemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical components, machinery, and related systemsClean, lubricate, and adjust equipment components including shafts, bearings, gears, drives, motors, and beltsSet up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts as neededUse welding and cutting equipment to complete repairs or modificationsRecord maintenance work performed, parts used, and repair-related costsSupport department and company safety goals in all work performedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience working with electrical and mechanical systemsWorking knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCsAbility to read and understand electrical ladder diagrams and motor control circuitsAbility to diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs with minimal supervisionPreferred QualificationsExperience troubleshooting CNC equipmentExperience programming or troubleshooting roboticsPLC troubleshooting or programming experienceWelding and fabrication experienceExperience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Mitsubishi systems/controlsSkills That Matter in This RoleElectrical and mechanical troubleshootingPreventive maintenance executionBlueprint and schematic readingEquipment installation and setupSafe work practices in a production environmentStrong documentation and problem-solving skillsPhysical RequirementsThis role requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, crawling, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and handling tools or parts throughout the shift.
