Job Title: Software Developer (.NET / C#) – Industrial Manufacturing Environment -13-3619NO CTC - Please do not apply if you can't work directly for usOn-site position in Houston TX - Hybrid eventually being 2 days onsite 3 days from home.Experience Required: 3–5 YearsPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Software Developer with strong experience in .NET, C#, JavaScript, and CSS to support and enhance custom business applications within a large industrial manufacturing environment. This role will focus primarily on application development, maintenance, and enhancement of internally developed systems that support plant operations and business processes.The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of professional software development experience and be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and provide ongoing support. Approximately 75% of the role will be hands-on coding and development.This position requires working onsite two days per week in a steel mill environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial setting and following all required safety protocols.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain custom software applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Modify and enhance existing applications to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.Develop and maintain integrations between internal systems and databases.Participate in application design discussions, code reviews, and development best practices.Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.Support production applications and provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements.Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Required Qualifications3–5 years of professional software development experience.Strong experience with:C#.NET Framework / .NETJavaScriptHTML/CSSExperience developing, maintaining, and supporting business applications.Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industry environments.Experience with modern web development practices and responsive design.Familiarity with source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.Work EnvironmentOnsite 2 days per week in a steel mill manufacturing facility.Candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial environment and complying with all plant safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).Remaining workdays may be completed remotely, subject to business needs.This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys building practical business solutions, working closely with end users, and making a direct impact on manufacturing operations through software development.Location = Houston TXRate = $40 - $45.50/hr on a W2 contractLength =1+ Year - possible long term for the right candidate
