Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the PSC Project Manager, this position provides an excellent opportunity to launch a career with room for professional growth and development. This position is ideal for an individual with an electronics background, good troubleshooting skills, and networking experience. There will be ample opportunities to expand your knowledge in all these areas. An availability and willingness to travel (within North America) is essential as most of the work is done at customer sites, delivering our solutions.ResponsibilitiesDelivering and commissioning PDCS (power distribution control system) and EPMS (electrical power monitoring system) systemsAssisting with the preparation of project specific documentation such as:Functional Design Specifications (FDS)Network DiagramsTesting WorkbooksPoints lists for interfaced systemsPLC programming and troubleshooting.Configuring power equipment for communicationPotential growth opportunities include:Developing detailed software code for automation, control, and energy management data acquisition applicationsDeveloping Graphical User Interface (GUI) in EPMS and PDCS systemsAdministering the management of projects from inception to on-site commissioning, integrated system testing, training, and client hand-over.Providing technical support and preventive maintenance.RequirementsBS/BA in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related degrees preferred, but not requiredCompletion of coursework and/or degree in:Mechatronics TechnologyIndustrial Electronics TechnologyElectrical EngineeringElectrical Engineering/Computing qualifications Proficient understanding of electrical systems Work effectively in a team environment, as well as independentlyBe efficiently organized and able to prioritize multiple tasksKnowledge of power distribution systems and control systems preferredExperience with PLC & SCADA development preferredRelevant experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment preferredSQL Database Experience preferredTravel Required100% of travel required.Ability to travel is essential.Required to stay at customer sites for extended periods of time.The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
