Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 6 months.What You'll Be DoingSafely operate a variety of heavy and fixed plant equipment to support daily aggregate productionConduct pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks to ensure safe, reliable performanceMonitor material flow, production quality, and operating conditions, making adjustments as neededCommunicate effectively with team members to coordinate activities and maintain efficient operationsMaintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety regulations and promoting a safety-first cultureWhat Are We Looking ForDemonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a mining environmentStrong knowledge of safety procedures with high situational awarenessMechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issuesReliable and collaborative approach with clear and effective communication skillsAbility to follow operational procedures, adapt to changing priorities, and familiarity with MSHA regulations, with Part 46 training considered an assetConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background checkSome positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testingApplicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
