Preschool BCBAThis is 40 hour per week, calendar year position with the CDS Preschool Programs unit. It will provide training and support to staff with programming and behavior management, complete functional behavior assessments, develop behavior plans and provide consultation on their implementation.FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Include, But Are Not Limited ToProvide clinical and other consulting services to preschoolsSupport the preschool team in social and regulatory curriculum development and implementationDevelop individualized behavior plans based on observation and data, and provide support with staff training and implementationDocument provision of services in an accurate, thorough, and professional mannerMonitor interventions by providing support to classroom staffAttend and participate in IEP meetings and classroom meetings as appropriateComplete billing and other required CDS reporting in a complete, accurate, and timely mannerAssist the Preschool Program Manager/Curriculum Coordinator in the development and provision of staff trainingFunction as a confidential employee and member of the preschool leadership teamMinimum RequirementsMaster's degree in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Human Development, or related fieldBoard certification in Applied Behavior AnalysisExperience providing behavioral assessment and intervention for young children with autism and other developmental disabilitiesSuccessful background, criminal records, fingerprinting, and reference checks (Maine DOE Criminal History Records Check and DHHS childcare eligibility are both required)Required Knowledge, Abilities, And SkillsWorking knowledge of child development, disabilities, family systems, and special education methodsAbility to interact with a wide variety of peopleAbility to provide individual and group services in a variety of settings and modelsAbility to establish an effective rapport/relationship with children and parentsAbility to work collaboratively as a member of an early childhood teamAbility to effectively communicate orally and in writingAbility to maintain composure in stressful situationsAbility to adapt therapy techniques to varying personalities and environmentsAbility to travel to a variety of locations to deliver servicesAbility to treat and motivate young childrenPlease send resume and completed CDS Employment Application (on CDS website) to:Sarah Taylor, Preschool Program DirectorCDS Circle of Learning322 West Gray RoadGray, ME 04039Veterans’ Preference: Maine law provides a preference to qualified veterans and gold star spouses by ensuring they are offered an interview.
