CNC Programmer

Quality Gold, Inc. is a growing jewelry & gift wholesale distributor/manufacturing company located in Fairfield, OH. QG is looking for a CNC Programmer to join our team. This person will be responsible for writing tool paths to program and operate various CNC machines for the purpose of manufacturing new products. Full-Time Hours: Monday - Friday with flexible hours between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended and Saturday hours may be required during peak seasons. Job Duties: Read blueprints, technical drawings and productions layouts, and retrieve and compile data to load CNC machines to process Inspect metals for defects and load machines per specific jobs Verify and adjust machine settings based on job/product parameters Start machines and monitor operations to detect and troubleshoot problems and make corrections. Alter programs and adjust tool paths to perform job change-overs Record data, time, weight and metal thickness for various jobs Select tools, materials, and technique based on product specifications Qualifications: Machine aptitude and willingness to learn through training Excellent problem solving, math and communication skills Ability to read and interpret blue prints and drawings Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook Strong Attention to detail Required Education and Experience: Ability to write "G Code" Exposure to design techniques and tools Preferred Education and Experience: Experience with ARTCAM software Experience with CNC Swiss Turn Experience with CNC Lathes and Mills Previous experience programming CNC Machines Previous experience working with precious metals Physical Demands: Individuals are required to sit or stand for long periods of time, and view computer screen for long periods of time.
