CURA Strategies is looking for an ambitious, self-starter to join our team as an intern. Our paid interns are fully integrated members of our team and key players in helping us do great work for our incredible clients.This isn't a "get our coffee" internship — interns gain extensive hands-on experience working on a variety of tasks across multiple accounts.We are especially interested in candidates with experience or strong interest in digital marketing, as well as candidates with experience in public affairs and/or communications.This is a paid position of $17.00/hour. In limited cases, we have adjusted for graduate students with more extensive experience.RESPONSIBILITIESDigital Marketing InternSupport digital marketing efforts across multiple client accounts, including organic social media, paid campaigns, website updates and campaign reportingAssist in the execution of digital campaigns across platforms, including LinkedIn Ads, Meta, Google Search, Reddit and other emerging channelsAssist in building and maintaining performance reports and dashboards across client work, including organic social media, paid media, web and SEO-related effortsAssist in analyzing campaign, website and user behavior data to identify trends, performance drivers and opportunitiesHelp translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for clientsSupport website content updates and management across platforms such as WordPress and WebflowAssist with CRM workflows and campaign performance trackingCollaborate with account teams in brainstorming, campaign ideation and integrated client workContribute to reporting and analysis for CURA's own marketing performance and planningPublic Affairs / Communications InternAssist with traditional media relations activities, including building media lists and crafting newsworthy pitchesAssist with client social media efforts, including drafting content, creating graphics and monitoring for engagement opportunitiesDraft written content, such as newsletters, blog posts, press releases, client presentations and measurement reportsSupport public affairs, strategic communications and stakeholder engagement activities across client accountsConduct research on policy, advocacy, health care and industry issues to support client work and new business effortsProvide support for various virtual or in-person client eventsAttend and capture action items from internal and client meetings/conference callsParticipate in new business brainstorms and researchOther projects and duties as requested, directed or assignedAssist with administrative tasks as neededQUALIFICATIONSHas an appetite and drive to always do moreIs thorough and detail-oriented, particularly with spelling and grammarHas excellent writing, analytical and oral skillsHas a professional demeanor and is a team playerWorks well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects at once while meeting deadlinesIs extremely organized and able to manage time wellApproaches projects with a can-do mindset, but will ask questions when they've exhausted other optionsHas a working knowledge of social media strategy for businessIs curious, tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools and platformsIs interested in digital marketing, communications, public affairs and/or health careIs proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPointBonus points if you have:Graphic design experience and working knowledge of the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)Government relations and public affairs experienceExperience with digital marketing platforms and tools such as LinkedIn Ads, Meta, Google Search, Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, Power BI, Hotjar, Brandwatch, ActiveCampaign, WordPress or WebflowFamiliarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar platformsThis position is open to recent grads, graduate students, and seniors studying public relations, communications, digital marketing, journalism, political science, or a related major with an interest in health care communications. Prior communications, public relations, public affairs or digital marketing experience is preferred.
