Part-time Ukelele Instructor (In-Person Afterschool Program)

Location: Fremont, 94539 (In-Person) Start Date: August 24, 2026 Pay: $20 - $35 per hour Position Type: Part-Time Whizara is seeking enthusiastic and engaging Afterschool Ukulele Instructor to lead hands-on music enrichment classes for K–12 students this fall. If you enjoy playing the ukulele and inspiring young learners, this is an opportunity to share your passion while making a lasting impact. In this role, you'll introduce students to the fundamentals of ukulele through fun, interactive lessons that build musical skills, creativity, confidence, and self-expression. You'll create a welcoming classroom where beginners feel encouraged to explore music, collaborate with peers, and celebrate their progress in a positive and supportive environment. What You'll Do: Lead engaging, beginner-friendly ukulele classes for K–12 students Teach fundamental skills such as chords, rhythm, strumming techniques, finger placement, and basic music concepts Encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and musical expression through interactive activities and familiar songs Adapt instruction to accommodate different ages, skill levels, and learning styles Foster a positive, inclusive classroom where every student feels supported and motivated to participate Provide constructive encouragement and celebrate student growth and achievements Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment Communicate professionally with school staff and Whizara program coordinators What We're Looking For: Experience playing the ukulele with a solid understanding of beginner music fundamentals Passion for helping young learners discover and enjoy music Friendly, patient, energetic, and encouraging teaching style Ability to confidently lead small groups and keep students engaged Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, organized, and punctual Able to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed Why Teach With Whizara?
