This position offers a unique opportunity for a skilled Physical Therapist to provide specialized services within a school setting located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Supporting various charter schools, the role involves delivering targeted physical therapy sessions designed to enhance student mobility and participation.Key Responsibilities:Provide physical therapy services, including initial evaluations and re-evaluations, tailored to the needs of school-aged children.Conduct therapy sessions at multiple school locations, ensuring consistent and effective intervention.Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.Adapt therapy techniques to suit the educational environment and students' varying needs.Qualifications:Licensed Physical Therapist with experience working in pediatric or school-based settings.Knowledge of school-based physical therapy practices and the ability to conduct evaluations efficiently.Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with school staff and families.Ability to manage time effectively across multiple locations.Schedule and Locations:Duval Charter School at Flagler Center: 60 minutes per week.Duval Charter School at Westside: 20 minutes per week.Renaissance Charter School at Tradition: Re-evaluation for initial physical therapy evaluation.
