Process Engineer

Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring for a Process Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and General Arrangement Drawings.Perform equipment sizing calculations for compressors, chillers, pumps, and other process equipment.Perform process line sizing calculations.Perform control valve, pressure relief-device, and orifice sizing calculations.Develop equipment and instrument datasheets.Coordinate with vendors for the selection of instrumentation and equipment.Review and check the work of other process engineers for accuracy and completeness.Coordinate design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.Other engineering degrees will be considered with applicable experience.Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.Experience with Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear projects is a significant plus.Must be able to satisfactorily perform the key duties listed above.Must be a U.S. Citizen.At Spectra Tech, Inc., our recruitment team is powered by real people in real time—personally reviewing every application with care and integrity.
