Apply via Dice today!Role Name: Wintel LeadLocation: Fort Mill, SC (Onsite)Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Wintel Lead with over 10 years of enterprise infrastructure experience to support and manage large-scale Windows, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, VMware virtualization, SCCM, infrastructure security, and cloud technologies including Azure and AWS. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting capabilities, infrastructure optimization experience, and the ability to lead critical operational and support activities within enterprise environments.Key Responsibilities:Windows Infrastructure & Active DirectoryAdminister and support enterprise Windows Server environments including Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.Manage and optimize Active Directory services including GPOs, replication, FSMO roles, domain services, and identity management.Support enterprise services such as DNS, DHCP, DFS-R, IIS, file servers, and clustering technologies.Troubleshoot authentication and access-related issues involving Kerberos, NTLM, and domain services.Perform advanced system diagnostics using tools such as Sysinternals, PerfMon, and event log analysis.VMware VirtualizationManage VMware ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA/DRS configurations, resource pools, and VM lifecycle management.Monitor and optimize virtualization performance including CPU, memory, storage, and datastore utilization.Support VM provisioning, template management, snapshot policies, and infrastructure automation activities.Troubleshoot virtualization issues including host isolation, storage latency, VM performance degradation, and PSOD events.Cloud & Hybrid InfrastructureSupport hybrid cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments.Manage Azure virtual machines, backup configurations, NSGs, Azure AD Connect, and identity synchronization.Administer AWS EC2 instances, IAM policies, VPC basics, EBS snapshots, and AMI management.Participate in cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives from on-prem VMware environments to Azure/AWS.SCCM & Endpoint ManagementManage and maintain SCCM infrastructure components including site servers, distribution points, WSUS, and software update points.Configure patch management, software deployment, compliance reporting, and automated deployment rules (ADR).Build and support operating system deployment (OSD) task sequences and enterprise image management.Troubleshoot SCCM client health, deployment failures, and boundary-related issues.Security, Monitoring & ComplianceImplement infrastructure hardening and security best practices aligned with CIS and Microsoft standards.Manage PKI, SSL certificates, secure PowerShell configurations, and RDP security controls.Monitor infrastructure health and performance using tools such as SCOM, Dynatrace, and SolarWinds.Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and analyze logs, traces, and system performance metrics.Ensure patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, audit readiness, and operational reporting.Required Skills:10+ years of experience in enterprise Windows infrastructure administration and support.Strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, SCCM, and patch management.Experience supporting Azure and AWS cloud platforms within hybrid infrastructure environments.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for handling critical production incidents.Excellent communication, coordination, and technical documentation skills.
