Amusement Team Member - Dollywood Theme Park - Full Time Seasonal

The right Amusements Team Member will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.This position exists to provide our guests with an excellent customer service experience by operating and interacting with various carnival style games and coin operated amusements. This service is to be provided in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and policies of the Dollywood Company.Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.Summary of Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesOperates various carnival style games in an outdoor environment by interacting with guests, setting and cleaning props, and celebrating winsExplains the rules and prizes for each gameDescribes different sales packages to guests and demonstrates proficient selling skillsRecords the number of games played and the number of prizes awardedInteracts with guests through the use of microphones and various propsManages the stock levels and merchandising of any assigned games throughout the workdayAssists in the maintenance and daily operation of any assigned location by ensuring cleanliness and display preparation functions are up to company standardsDemonstrates an ability to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedulesActively participates in the success of the Games and Amusements team through teamwork, service, and respect for othersAssists the immediate leadership by communicating any needed product, equipment, supplies, and helping to reduce wasteAdheres to all Amusements safety guidelines and report any safety issues to the immediate leadershipProtects the privacy, safety, and security of our guests and coworkers by completing PCI compliance and other required trainingMust be willing to have fun and create a fun and friendly environment for othersManagement reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any timeEducation and Experience RequiredMust be minimum of 14 years of ageMinimum 6 months of sales experience preferredMinimum 6 months of customer service experience preferredMinimum one (1) year of experience working in a team environment, highly preferredBasic computer skillsDriver's license and acceptable driving record required if appointed authorized driverKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust reflect Dollywood's image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their workMust be self-motivated and disciplinedMust be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basisMust maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged informationMust be committed to continuous improvementMust have professional appearance with good personal hygieneMust promote and support a "team" work environment by cooperating and helping co-workersMust adapt to changes easilyMust be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to take action to meet their needs within company guidelinesMust be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skillsMust reflect Dollywood's core values through the lens of dignity and respectAble to display and live out Lead with Love Qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being: patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountableAble to smile and make eye contact to make a friendly impression when greeting guests, vendors and other employeesMust have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job dutiesAble to sit and/or stand for long/short periodsAble to comprehend instructions and retain informationAble to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidaysAble to be productive in a fast-paced environmentAble to be flexible to handle frequent changes in prioritiesAble to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid driver's licenseAble to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracyAble to lift up to 50lbs, with assistanceMust be able to effectively communicate with fellow Guests and Hosts using approved communication methodsAble to tolerate temperatures of 0 to 140 degreesAble to work outdoorsPhysical and Cognitive RequirementsLifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company's safety guidelines for safe liftingMobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfacesRepetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functionsEnvironmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
