Cnc Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description Join our team as an experienced CNC Grinder for the 2nd shift, where you will be instrumental in maintaining precision and quality in our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Maintain extremely tight tolerances (+/- 2 microns) as per customer requirements and Measurement Control Equipment methods. Conduct 1st piece inspection and prepare necessary quality documentation. Utilize inspection equipment and digital optical measuring tools for accurate measurements. Use various hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and associated gauges and tooling. Perform preventive maintenance, 5S, and housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and organized workspace. Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in CNC Grinders with a minimum of 5 years of experience in machining operations. Ability to hold tight tolerances (+/- 2 microns) and interpret customer drawings and specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Experience with inspection equipment and digital optical measuring tools. Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and commitment to 5S principles. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks. Action-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work at a quick pace. Demonstrates creativity in problem-solving and making innovative connections. Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards and regulations. Collaborative team player who supports and assists colleagues as needed. Committed to continuous improvement and actively seeks opportunities to enhance skills. Requires standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and visual acuity are essential for detailed work and operation of machinery. Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with safety and quality regulations is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
