CNC Lathe Operator

Description: Lamjen, Inc currently has 1st and 2nd shift openings for a CNC Lathe OperatorCreate a set up using various chuck jaws, hardware and fixturingProficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerancesProficient at performing in-process inspections at a machine and adjusting various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as requiredPosition and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranesStudy blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work proceduresProficient knowledge in general machining practicesAbility to recognize tooling types and procedures for machining close tolerances Requirements: Proficient in reading and understanding documents, blueprints, basic GD&T and G-Code commandsKnowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and basic trigonometryProficient knowledge of CNC controls and G-Code programmingAbility to adjust/set tool lengths, set work offsets, and make adjustments within a programMinimum of 5 years experience in CNC operation/ schoolingCrane experienceAbout UsLamjen, Inc is a precision CNC machining company specializing in low- and high-volume production runs of specialty machined components.
